Fusion fans and dealers alike have been asking for a performance version of the popular model since the newest-generation was first introduced in 2012. Ford has heard the requests, and at the end of summer 2016, the automaker is set to deliver in a big way. With a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 EcoBoost engine that that produces 350 pound-feet of torque and 325 horsepower, the all-new Fusion V6 Sport is targeting certain distinguished performance sedans with price tags that are five figures higher.

In addition to impressive power numbers, the Fusion V6 Sport delivers all-wheel drive as a standard feature. It also offers an advanced suspension system that can detect potholes, and adjust dampers to their stiffest settings before the wheel has a chance to fall into the hole. Ford will also offer a summer-only tire package for buyers searching for the ultimate in braking and handling performance.

Consumers crave a car that's much more distinctive inside and out," said Ford Fusion marketing manager, Wade Jackson in a recent press release. "Cross-shoppers will be shocked by the band of the buck our new Fusion Sport delivers.

The all-new 2017 Ford Fusion Sport with standard all-wheel drive carries a starting MSRP of $33,475.
